3 years after assisting the Pittsburgh Penguins win back-to-back Stanley Cups, Jaromir Jagr had his jersey retired on what the city has actually formally been stated Jaromir Jagr Day.
Jagr, the 2nd all-time leading scorer in NHL history and a crucial member of the Penguins’ 1991 and 1992 champion groups, remained in Pittsburgh to see his No. 68 jersey raised to the rafters prior to the Penguins’ Sunday video game versus the Los Angeles Kings.
He is the 3rd Penguins gamer to see his jersey retired after Mario Lemieux and Michel Briere.

The Penguins started the event with a video honoring Jagr’s achievements in Pittsburgh.
Jagr completed his Penguins profession with 1,079 points and 439 objectives, 4th just to Lemieux and future Hall of Famers Sidney Crosby and Evgeni Malkin for the most in group history.

Lemieux existed for the 40-minute event, throughout which Jagr informed fans the 11 years he played in Pittsburgh were “most likely the very best years of my life.”
“Today, all the highlights, videos, objectives, even the hair, excellent memories,” Jagr stated.

After taking part in Penguins practice Saturday, Jagr signed up with the present group for warmups before Sunday’s contest versus the Kings.
The remainder of the group commemorated the short-lived addition to the lineup with wigs honoring Jagr’s renowned mullet.

After signing up with the remainder of the Penguins for a group image, Jagr left the ice after a solo lap and a salute that made him a standing ovation from the crowd at PPG Paints Arena.

Jagr invested 24 years in the NHL, a period over which he bet the New York Rangers, Washington Capitals, Florida Panthers, New Jersey Devils, Philadelphia Flyers, Boston Bruins, Dallas Stars and Calgary Flames.
4 of his 5 profession 100-point projects, and both of his Stanley Cups, came in Pittsburgh.
“You ask anyone worldwide, Czech, Europe, and you state ‘Jaromir Jagr.’ They’re going to state Pittsburgh Penguins,” Jagr informed the crowd at PPG Paints Arena.
