3 boys deal with practically 2 lots felony charges in connection with the weekend slaying of a 16-year-old kid in the Austin area that injured 3 others, authorities revealed Wednesday.
Ronnie Allen, 19, of Garfield Park, Knowledge Lemons, 21, of Austin, and Lamont Dixon, 23, of Austin, were each charged with 3 counts of murder and 3 counts of tried murder, authorities stated.
In addition, Allen is implicated of one count of exacerbated illegal usage of a weapon while underage. Lemons is implicated of illegal usage of a weapon as a felon and Dixon is implicated of having a taken lorry, cops stated.
Authorities stated the 3 were jailed Sunday afternoon around 3 p.m. in the 3800 block of West Van Buren Street and the 3900 block of West Monroe Street as they ran away the location where they apparently shot and eliminated 16-year-old Johnveir Winn-McKeever, of Austin, and hurt 3 other males.
Lemons and Dixon were both on parole, according to court records. Lemons was paroled in May 2023 after being sentenced to 4 years behind bars for 2021 circumstances of intensified illegal usage of a weapon and ownership of a taken car.
Dixon was paroled in March 2023, according to jail records. He was serving sentences of 2 years for worsened illegal usage of a weapon and 3 years for belongings of a taken automobile, per jail records.
According to a cops report, Dixon confessed to driving the taken car however stated he was “simply driving” it and “had no concept what was going on.”
Judge David Kelly bought all 3 suspects apprehended while they wait for trial, according to court records.
Allen will go back to court on April 24. Dixon’s next look is set up for Monday. Lemons will stand for a status hearing on Thursday at 9 a.m.
