The New York Jets shooting head coach Robert Saleh on Tuesday and the oblique injury to New Orleans Saints quarterback Derek Carr might be impacting trade talks including Las Vegas Raiders wideout Davante Adams.
“I believe the occasions in New York and the occasions in New Orleans might have decreased talks with those 2 groups, and we'll see if and when they can get some steam,” ESPN's Adam Schefter reported throughout Tuesday's NFL Live“Because everyone does anticipate that Adams is going to be traded, we simply do not understand where or when.”

NFL press reporter Josina Anderson reported that the Carr injury “does not always affect New Orleans' interest in continuing trade conversations for Adams.”
She included that “an arrangement on draft choice settlement is still essential. The energy on this part of a prospective deal was stagnant even before Carr got injured” and kept in mind that a source informed her that the “seriousness is with the Raiders to deal with the Davante scenario, due to the fact that they're the ones paying him.”
And Peter Schrager of NFL Network recommended that Saleh's shooting would not always prevent a trade:

My insight on what's going on at the Jets center today– Joe Douglas is still working. Program goes on in Florham Park and I do not think a head training modification restricts the Jets from making any modifications or additions to the lineup today. Understand what you ‘d like from that.
When it comes to the groups possibly in the Adams' market, Tashan Reed, Vic Tafur and Dianna Russini of The Athletic reported that the Jets, Saints and Pittsburgh Steelers “stay thinking about getting Adams after connecting to the Raiders, while the Buffalo Bills are keeping an eye on the scenario.”
The Kansas City Chiefs, Baltimore Ravens and Washington Commanders are not pursuing Adams, per that report, while the Dallas Cowboys “called about the six-time Pro Bowler, however they passed, per league sources, since they do not wish to handle the rest of his base pay this season, which has to do with $12.5 million.”
Adams has clear ties to both the Jets and Saints, having actually had fun with Aaron Rodgers throughout their time together in Green Bay and Carr at both the college (Fresno State) and expert levels (Raiders in 2022).
In New York, Adams would provide the Jets a crammed quartet of receivers, signing up with Garrett Wilson, Allen Lazard and Mike Williams (presuming the Jets didn't quit Lazard or Williams in the offer). In New Orleans, he would offer the group a strong trio together with Chris Olave and Rashid Shaheed.
