We know, we know—fashion is a tough sell when it's frigid outside. Humble barn coats have gotten a major glow-up this season, with nearly every brand—Prada! Free People! Abercrombie!—trying its hand at the rural staple. They're low-key but still cool, with contrasting collars for extra style points and as many pockets as you could want. There's a color, weight, and material for every taste; Barbour and J.Crew lean classic, while Uniqlo and Everlane feel a little more contemporary. No matter which one you choose, though, it'll look great with straight-leg jeans, tailored trousers, and full skirts.
