The vocalist shared clips of studio sessions as she gets ready for the release of the May-bound record
Dua Lipa took fans for a dip in the deep end in a teaser published Wednesday for her approaching 3rd studio album, entitledRadical Optimism
The clip opens with the artist learning the ocean and cuts to bits of her working in the studio, and clips of her practicing choreography and photoshoots, leading up to the LP’s release. As music plays in the background, Lipa states in a voiceover: “It’s the charm of the mayhem and attempting to remain calm through it. Listening over and over and sensation like, ‘How do I wish to inform this story?'”
“I constantly opt for the most positive ones to present individuals to the record,” she continues. “I can simply continue dancing and keep individuals dancing.” Lipa includes, “We’re attempting to develop a world in a various method, and sonically it had to do with exploring. Thematically, it was constantly about strength.”
Radical Optimismdue May 3, is set to include 11 tunes and is motivated, in part, by U.K. rave culture.

In a current interview with WandererLipa even more described the album’s core motivation. “The term ‘extreme optimism’ entered my mind a lot since there were a lot of ups and downs. There were many minutes where things didn’t go the manner in which I had actually prepared them to. There were minutes where I seemed like I was undersea, and you simply need to keep going and you need to stay positive and things exercise in the end one method or another,” she stated. “Whenever you seem like something is the worst thing that’s taking place, there’s constantly some light at the end of the tunnel.
