“Star Trek: Discovery” touches down on Paramount Plus for its 5th and last season on April 4.
The season includes an interstellar witch hunt that follows “Captain Burnham and the team of the U.S.S. Discovery discovering a secret that will send them on a legendary experience throughout the galaxy to discover an ancient power whose extremely presence has actually been intentionally concealed for centuries.”

Here's our special interview excerpt:
“Star Trek Explorer:” What were your expectations heading into “Star Trek: Discovery,” and, as we begin to bid farewell, what's the truth resembled?
Martin-Green: I initially entered this at the tail end of 2016. We began wedding rehearsals for the pilot, and I think we reported to Toronto on January 2nd, 2017. I had all sort of expectations of it being this Goliath of an experience since it is a Goliath of a franchise. I was overwhelmed, thrilled, stunned and anxious. I was all these things. As we began our journey and began specifying ourselves as our version of “Star Trek,” I began to anticipate a lot more from our program, particularly by the time we struck Season 3, since we were discovering our identity. We were determining precisely who we were, as it associates with the franchise as a whole. As soon as that occurred, my expectations grew from there. “What are the possibilities now? The possibilities are even higher since we truly developed ourselves at this moment.”
Fast-forward and it's so surreal to be ending up Season 5, though it's year 7. For Season 5 to be the last season, I anticipate a great deal of feeling. A great deal of feelings definitely entered into it.
