The main start of the 2024 NFL season will need to wait a minimum of 20 minutes behind initially arranged.

Thursday’s season-opener in between the Baltimore Ravens and Kansas City Chiefs was postponed till 8:40 p.m. ET due to harsh weather condition in the location, per NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.

About an hour before the initially arranged kickoff time, ESPN’s Jamison Hensley published a video on X detailing simply how hard the rain was boiling down at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City.

Quickly after the tough rainstorms, the weather condition began to clean up, implying the 20-minute hold-up might be the only one for the night.

Thursday’s video game will be a rematch of the AFC Championship video game, where the Chiefs beat the Ravens 17-10 to advance to the Super Bowl, eventually beating the San Francisco 49ers to win a 2nd straight Super Bowl.

While Kansas City eventually got the very best of Baltimore in 2015, the Ravens refilled this offseason, including a significant addition in star running back Derrick Henry. The previous Tennessee Titan will make his launching on Thursday.

As held true last season, both the Chiefs and the Ravens are anticipated to be 2 of the leading groups in the AFC, making Thursday’s season-opener an amazing start to the NFL season.
