Hunter Lawrence Wins SuperMotocross World Championship Finals Playoff 2 and Takes Points Lead

Haiden Deegan Victorious in Texas in 250SMX Class

Fort Worth, Texas., (September 14, 2024) Team Honda HRC Progressive’s Hunter Lawrence took the general win at Texas Motor Speedway at SuperMotocross Playoff 2 of the SuperMotocross World Championship Finals, sustained by Monster Energy. The 450SMX Class novice utilized (1-3) moto ratings in the two-moto race format to make his very first general win in 450 Class professional racing. With a double-points payment at Playoff 2, Hunter Lawrence moved into the series points lead with one round staying and a $5.5 million dollar overall reward payment on the line.

The recently-crowned AMA Pro Motocross Champion, Red Bull KTM Factory Racing’s Chase Sexton, took the runner-up area in Texas with (4-1) moto ratings and a controling efficiency in Moto Two. Group Honda HRC Progressive’s Jett Lawrence, the 2024 Supercross champ who went back to racing with a general win at SuperMotocross Playoff 1 simply one week prior, completed 3rd general in Texas through (3-2) moto ratings. These leading 3 racers line up at the SuperMotocross World Championship next weekend in a winner-take-all situation thanks to the triple-point payment. In the 250SMX Class, Monster Energy Yamaha Star Racing’s Haiden Deegan supported his win at SuperMotocross Playoff 1 with another (1-1) success to extend his points lead heading into the last postseason race of the year.

“Super incredible! I had a little very mishap on the back [of the track]however that’s SuperMotocross. [smiles]I’m delighted to be leaving here with the red plate. It feels excellent to get that a person. I can’t state that I’m anticipating riding that track once again, so [I’m] happy it’s done … a huge shout out to the group and everybody that’s belonged of this. [Getting a good start and getting clear of traffic was] among the crucial aspects. We in fact made a modification before Moto 1 and I felt like I rode quite well, [I] simply was method back. I got an excellent start and was able simply to ride my own laps and, yeah, felt like I did back in Pro Motocross. Great race, 2nd in general, so we’re looking helpful for next weekend.
