Hot drill is taking control of the world, according to Chow Lee. On Monday (Sept. 23), the “ms.beautiful V” developer talked to Signboard about developing the subgenre along with Cash Cobain and Lonny Love, in addition to its growing impact.
When inquired about the motivation behind hot drill, Lee informed the publication, “It was sort of a natural part of our imaginative procedure. We speak about ladies and Cash is the mastermind behind the beats. I’ll provide him a tune to sample, or he’ll sample something. He’ll enter YouTube and ask like, ‘Give me a tune to sample?’ He’ll sample it. S ** t, we’ll simply rap on it.”
Cobain produced much of Lee’s newest album, LIBIDOIn addition to pre-loved tracks like “boodle it!” and “act bad twin!” the 19-song effort included contributions from AJ Tracey, Roy Woods, Flo Milli, Sleepy Hallow, Bay Swag and Anycia.
On dealing with the London local on “im not actually spiritual!” Lee highlighted, “It reveals that everybody from various locations can get on hot drill. Like Tracey is on there. He’s from the U.K. It’s a universal thing. It’s previous New York at this moment.”
