Cowboys Week 3 position power rankings: Running backs still far behind

It’s difficult to come far from Dallas’ Week 2 loss to New Orleans with lots of positives. The Cowboys were beaten on both sides of the ball, so changing the power rankings today isn’t simple. There were differing degrees of failure, so a little motion may be warranted.

All in all, no position did enough to make definite appreciation. And keep in mind, these rankings are based upon the whole season, not simply the last video game. With the Saints loss burned into our memories, here’s the upgraded list going into Week 3.

  1. Guard (Last Week: 1st) – While the offending line had a hard time on the entire, things were much even worse on the edges than in the interior. Seeing Zack Martin decrease was frightening however he went back to the video game, so ideally he’ll be alright for another hard test meeting Baltimore.

  2. Quarterback (LW: 3rd) – Dak Prescott did toss 2 choices, however one was since his receiver slipped and the other came when the video game was currently out of hand in the 4th quarter. In general, Prescott was the least of Dallas’ concerns as he handled missing out on TE Jake Ferguson and still set up 293 on 27-of-39 death.

  3. Protective End (LW: 2nd) – While QB1 might’ve done more, Micah Parsons and DeMarcus Lawrence not did anything. Saints OC Klint Kubiak schemed Parsons right out of the video game and required the remainder of the Cowboys’ defense to attempt to stop his offense. Certainly, they didn’t.

  4. Pass Receiver (LW: 7th) – CeeDee Lamb got the sole goal versus double protection and Jalen Tolbert made an excellent catch versus what needs to’ve been called disturbance. We currently understand Lamb’s great so Tolbert’s 6 catches for 82 backyards getting line was an unusual silver lining to this video game. He requires to keep stepping up as this Cowboys offense is desperate for firepower.

  5. Linebacker (LW: 4th) – After a terrific launching in Cleveland, this group appeared like 2023 all over once again. It isn’t all their fault as they got no assistance in advance and DeMarvion Overshown got strangely couple of snaps. If their play is going to be reliant on what the protective line is doing, that’s going to be quickly made use of by quality offenses.

  6. Cornerback (LW: 6th) – The damage was mainly done far from them, however the Saints’ leading receivers still produced 177 backyards on simply 10 targets. New Orleans’ supremacy on the ground assisted establish the pass, so we will not knock the CBs too terribly here.

  7. Tight End (LW: 8th) – Luke Schoonmaker had 6 catches for 43 lawns, consisting of an excellent one-handed catch. While he looks more like Dalton Schultz than Ferguson in regards to explosive capability, he a minimum of offered a safe target for Prescott. It was an excellent indication for the second-year possibility.

  8. (LW: 10th) – Cooper Beebe is holding his own as a starter. We’re still waiting on more effect in the run video game,
