In a season currently specified by flowers, Zomer took the principle one action even more by teaming up with a real floral designer. Or make that “flower artists” Debeaulieu, the developers of sensational arrangements sent out to leading editors, A-listers and customers especially throughout the collections.
Backstage before the program, designer Danial Aitouganov was hard-pressed to select a preferred flower, keeping in mind that he likes arrangements of all kinds, while co-founder Imruh Asha is a lotus guy himself.
“We had this concept of how the Zomer garden would look,” Aitouganov used. With that concept, he returned to the studio and started growing the concept by dabbling abstraction, treatments and actual analyses. The cooperation with Debeaulieu, for instance, yielded a number of masterpiece structures– one made from genuine flowers, the other of synthetic flowers dipped in chrome, a sculpture by Isabel + Helen.
On the runway, the clothing truly popped. Intense blossoms were abstracted as whorls of satin, noodles of fluorescent mesh fringe with pearly beads within, 3D posies with caviar beading, a poppy umbrella, events of material around unfavorable area, spots veiled by overlay, wrinkled neoprene wools, cashmere, silks, organza and printed Ecco leather (on peplum skirts) and a mashup of plume and sequin embroidery on a skirt. Some of the positionings were straight-up saucy, however it was all in excellent enjoyable. Devices– restricted edition leather bowling tennis shoes produced in partnership the Finnish heritage brand name Karhu, precious jewelry by Panconesi– looked desirable too.
In current months Aitouganov left his day task in the menswear department at Louis Vuitton to devote himself completely to Zomer. It revealed. On the soundtrack, a runaway train appeared to bear down much faster and much faster. Its implicit significance was lost on no-one. The only thing delegated do is buckle up and delight in the trip.
