KANSAS CITY, Mo.– Patrick Mahomes purchased into the ownership group of the Kansas City Royals in 2020 and has actually been patiently waiting on postseason baseball to return.
His wait will quickly be over.
The Royals are ensured a minimum of one home video game in their approaching American League Division Series versus the New York Yankees. They swept their two-game wild-card series versus the Baltimore Orioles, with both video games being played in Baltimore.
“It's remarkable,”the Kansas City Chiefs quarterback stated Thursday. “It's excellent for the city. I've heard all the stories about how amazing the environment was the last time they remained in the playoffs and they're going to take on a fantastic baseball group in the Yankees, a historical baseball group. I'm simply delighted for these guys when they're starving. They're playing terrific baseball today and to be at [Kauffman Stadium]offered out crowd ideally … I get to see that October baseball there is going to be unique.”
Mahomes stated he's trying to find the Royals to offset the dissatisfaction he felt as a teen when his home town Texas Rangers lost in back-to-back World Series.
“I've been to a postseason baseball video game back when I remained in high school, “he stated. “I got to see [the Rangers] lose, I believe Game 5, I believe versus the [San Francisco] Giants one year … I've had some close heartbreaks there with the Rangers, however the Royals are going to turn it around for me.”
