Breyers will pay an $8.85 million settlement as part of a class-action claim that declared its “Natural Vanilla” label was deceptive due to the fact that the ice cream apparently included vanilla tastes not from the vanilla bean.

The offenders, Conopco, Inc. (the marketer) and Unilever United States, Inc. (the moms and dad business of Breyer), rejected all claims however consented to the settlement, per a news release.
