According to Downdetector, it appears that ChatGPT is down for the majority of users in a mass failure. Since press time, more than 15,000 users have actually reported problems with the chatbot.

The popular chatbot started glitching Thursday afternoon. At 11 a.m. PST, the business composed: “We are presently experiencing a problem with high mistake rates on ChatGPT, the API, and Sora. We are presently examining and will publish an upgrade as quickly as we are able.”
Less than 20 minutes later on, at 11:18 a.m. PST, the business followed up that the problem was brought on by “an upstream service provider and we are presently keeping an eye on,” the business composed.
