The reimagined park, “Luna Luna: Forgotten Fantasy,” was called after the initial André Heller production, Luna Luna, that debuted in Hamburg, Germany in 1987. Heller commissioned art from Jean-Michel Basquiat, Keith Haring, and others alike for the very first of its kind art theme park. It was referred to as a “fairground of feelings” and “the museum of the future.”
Los Angeles Times reported that Luna Luna’s initial trips stayed in beautiful condition after being saved in a Texas center for over 30 years, however more than likely weren’t up to code.
