Lucy Buckingham states scans on her elbow and hip “returned okay” after what she refers to as a crash with a vehicle when she led IRONMAN 70.3 Bahrain late into the bike leg recently.
The British star, winner of 2 70.3 races this season, led the swim and had actually extended her benefit on the bike when the event happened.

And composing on Instagram 2 days after the race, she stated: “Thanks for the messages, I’m doing ok, scans on my elbow and hip returned okay.
“Recap: I was truly delighted with my swim and bike, lastly feeling myself.
“Unfortunately around 80km on the bike, a vehicle came onto the course and we clashed, taking me off my bike. All quite frightening at 45kmph, with adrenaline I handled to get up and continue, however I had a hard time to run effectively.
“I’m dealing with Ironman to find out how this occurred.
“Well done to all fellow pros racing, remain safe.”
