After a current report painted the Carolina Panthers as an inefficient company, group owner David Tepper has actually dealt with a wave of criticism.
Joseph Person and Dianna Russini of The Athletic reported recently that individuals within the company explained the culture as resembling the film “The Hunger Games,” where different workers were interacting with Tepper behind Frank Reich’s back before he was fired from his head training position.
NBC Sports’ Peter King stated on Monday that he thinks Person and Russini “have the story nailed,” and he provided his viewpoint on the matter.
“Two ideas. One: An owner who actively engages with several staff members in opposition to what the head coach is doing is a huge part of the issue,” King composed. “It’s not the owner’s task to motivate staff members to damage the coach. It’s remiss that the owner would participate in or motivate that. 2: That franchise is a mess.”
The Panthers lost to the New Orleans Saints 28-6 on Sunday to be up to 1-12 this season, the worst record in the NFL. To make matters worse, the franchise does not own its first-round choice in 2024 after trading it to the Chicago Bears to go up in the 2023 draft to choose quarterback Bryce Young No.
