Bradley Beal played the very first 11 seasons of his profession for the Washington Wizards and still has lots of love for the country’s capital.

Much love, in reality, he does not desire the Wizards to move to Virginia, which the Phoenix Suns guard discussed as part of a journal entry with Marc J. Spears of Andscape:

“D.C., I’m here with you. I’m with you all. There is no transferring to Virginia. What is that, [Wizards owner] Ted [Leonsis]We like you to death. We comprehend what you wish to do and are attempting to do. You can’t take the group out of D.C. It’s Chocolate City. As a league, we require it. It needs to remain in D.C. now. The cash? Listen, it’s out of my hands and out of my control. I ain’t got absolutely nothing to do with that. Ideally [Washington] mayor [Muriel] Bowser can work something out with you.

I hope the group remains. It’s great for the city. It develops a bit of an issue, simply my individual viewpoint, if it relocates to Virginia. It’s most likely comparable to how individuals felt when [the Washington Commanders] relocated to Maryland. It is a hard thing. We simply got to get everyone back to D.C. simply restore RFK Stadium, reconstruct Cap One (Capital One Arena). Keep it in the city. We can make it occur and they can make take place.”

Beal was a franchise foundation for the Wizards, who chose him with the No. 3 general choice of the 2012 NBA draft. He was a three-time All-Star and a 2020-21 All-NBA Third Team choice throughout his period.

In all, the guard balanced 22.1 points, 4.3 helps, 4.1 rebounds and 1.1 takes per video game throughout his time with the Wizards.

He undoubtedly has lots of memories related to Washington D.C. and does not wish to see the franchise he is most knowledgeable about in the NBA altering homes.
