Japanese home entertainment news site Cinema Today reported on Bunka Tsūshinsha’s leading 10 highest-earning domestic and foreign movies for 2023 on Sunday.

The domestic list includes 6 anime movies, 2 live-action movies based upon a manga, and one Godzilla movie. The lists and profits are present since December 24 and are partly approximated.

The lists consist of overall profits even for movies that opened in 2022, such as The First Slam Dunk (which opened on December 3, 2022). The movie did not make enough to rank in the leading 10 in 2015 by the time those lists came out.
