Liquid biopsies enable non-invasive growth detection by evaluating distributing growth DNA (ctDNA) in a blood sample. CtDNA in blood is typically sporadic, restricting the level of sensitivity of liquid biopsies. Composing in ScienceMartin-Alonso and associates conquer this obstacle by establishing 2 injectable priming representatives that momentarily increase the concentration of ctDNA in vivo.
To increase the levels of ctDNA in blood circulation, the authors established a nanoparticle that acts upon macrophages in the liver accountable for clearing ctDNA from the blood. The liposomal nanoparticles are effectively phagocytosed by the liver-resident cells, which are then momentarily not able to use up ctDNA. Injecting the nanoparticle guide in mice increased ctDNA healing from blood samples over significantly.
