Throughout his look on “Meet journalism” on Sunday, JD Vance informed host Kristen Welker that Donald Trump has “clearly” stated that he would ban a federal abortion restriction if a costs were to be gone by Congress.
“I can definitely dedicate that,” Vance stated. “Donald Trump's view is that we desire the private states and their private cultures and their distinct political perceptiveness to make these choices due to the fact that we do not wish to have a continuously federal dispute over this concern.”
And to this, Elizabeth Warren is calling BS.
In a “Meet journalism” interview of her own, Warren pointed back to Trump and Vance's previous remarks and actions to the contrary, stating, “American females are not foolish, and we are not going to rely on the futures of our children and granddaughters to 2 males who have actually freely extolled obstructing access to abortion for ladies all throughout this nation.”
After Welker explained that it appeared Warren wasn't purchasing Trump and Vance's spin on this, she stomped down even harder, stating, “Don't purchase it? Simply read it. JD Vance in fact sent out a letter in 2015 to the Department of Justice to implement the Comstock Act. And remember he did that, and after that Donald Trump chose him to be his vice president. The only manner in which we're going to safeguard access to abortion is to have a Democratic Congress send out a costs to Kamala Harris. She will sign it into law, and after that we will bring back a right to half the population in this nation, and no longer will a female need to go into an emergency clinic and be informed she's not near sufficient death to get the medical treatment that she requires.”
