Princess Diaries 3 Is Officially In the Works, Sets Adele Lim As Director

Following news that the long-awaited 3rd installation in the Princess Diaries movie franchise is formally in the works, Anne Hathaway relatively verified her return for the job.
In a video published on her Instagram page Oct. 4, the Oscar winner counted to 3 in between motion picture clips of herself and costar Julie Andrews. She blew a kiss to the cam and provided one of her character's most renowned lines: “Shut up!”
“Miracles take place,” the 41-year-old captioned the post. “Back to Genovia with @adeleblim @disney @somewherepictures. The fairy tale continues.”
Previously in the day, E! News validated the highly-anticipated Disney follow up was formally progressing with Crazy Rich Asians film writer Adele Lim set to direct. The filmmaker formerly composed the 2021 animated impressive Raya and the Last Dragon for the studio, and made her function directorial launching with the 2023 funny Happiness Ride

While Disney has not formally verified casting for the movie, Hathaway has actually made clear of her interest in reviewing her breakout function, which she brought to life in the initial 2001 movie and repeated in 2004's Princess Diaries 2: Royal Engagement
