The Tampa Bay Buccaneers stay quite alive in the race for the NFC South title.
Led by an excellent video game from quarterback Baker Mayfield, Tampa Bay thumped the Panthers, 48-14 and kept itself in the playoff hunt headed into Week 18.

The Bucs swept the season series over the Panthers, outscoring them 74-37 in the 2 video games. Tampa Bay got outstanding quarterback play in both video games, particularly in Sunday’s success.
As discussed above, Mayfield was exceptional, finishing 27-of-32 passes for 359 backyards and 5 goals. It was Mayfield’s very first video game this season with 5 goals and his 2nd straight video game with 300+ passing lawns.

Mike Evans continued his mission towards 1,000 backyards, ending up with 97 lawns and 2 goals.
Evans will require 85 lawns in Week 18 versus the Saints to get to 11 straight seasons with 1,000 getting lawns.

Jalen McMillan (5 catches, 51 backyards, 2 goals) and Payne Durham (2 catches, 36 backyards, goal) were the receivers of Mayfield’s other 3 goal passes.
The goal catch for Durham was the very first of his NFL profession.
Tampa Bay will still require aid to enter into the playoffs. With a Washington win on Sunday versus Atlanta, a Tampa Bay win in Week 18 would protect the department title.
With an Atlanta success, Tampa Bay would require to win in Week 18 and have Washington lose to Dallas to clinch an area in the playoffs.
