On Wednesday’s broadcast of “CNN Newsroom,” Biden Campaign Co-Chair Rep. James Clyburn (D-SC) reacted to criticism by Biden’s previous Chief of Staff Ron Klain of President Joe Biden for promoting facilities when individuals are handling inflation by mentioning, “Well, I’m not an economic expert. I do not understand how these problems truly work.” Individuals who have tasks due to the facilities law are pleased and both sides of the formula need to be talked about.
Clyburn stated, “Well, I’m not a financial expert. I do not understand how these problems truly work. I understand this, I do understand that individuals who have tasks since of this facilities law are extremely happy to be back at work once again. I do understand that individuals who see these plants being put in their districts, like the Scout plant in Richland County, South Carolina, the … plant in Berkeley County, South Carolina, these battery plants are supplying tasks for individuals that never ever had good-paying tasks before, those things we require to discuss. I do think you have to do things on balance. To state you’ve got– you can’t talk about one, due to the fact that you talk about the other, I’m not that sure that’s the method to do things. When I hear individuals talk about the economy and begin talking about the stock market and begin talking about their 401(k)s, I ask them about the individuals that I represent, who do not have 401(k)s, however they’re looking for tasks and now they’ve got tasks, how do you stabilize that out? We’ve got to have those conversations on both sides of the formula, not one or the other.”
