Bob Uecker after getting splashed in champagne by Brewers’ gamers: ‘I peed my trousers!’

The Milwaukee Brewers clinched the NL Central before their video game versus the Philadelphia Phillies even started. That made it a little simpler for the group to wait before popping the champagne to fete their 2024 project.

There was a controlled energy gushing through the American Family Insurance Field locker space as gamers and coaches paused their event following a 2-1 walkoff win. Everybody was delighted, however barely anybody popped their corks before the male of the hour showed up– Brewers broadcaster and MLB legend Bob Uecker.

Group supervisor Pat Murphy opened the event by honoring the 90-year-old previous catcher as “epitomiz[ing] a champ” to an inviting chorus of “Uuuuueeeeccccckkkk” calls from the gamers. And after that, Uecker acknowledged the compliment and shower of bubbles that followed as just he can.

Pat Murphy: “There is nobody who represents being a champ like this male does.”

The Brewers clinched their 3rd department title in 4 years, providing the famous broadcast another possibility to possibly call a World Series video game for a group that hasn’t existed given that 1982. He’ll remain in the cubicle, calling out crowning achievement with his signature “get up” call and applauding Usinger’s sausages come October for the 6th time in the last 7 years.
