WASHINGTON--South Korea is very carefully positive about alliance upgrades that the U.S. and Japan have actually prepared to boost security in East Asia and the Indo-Pacific area.
A South Korean Foreign Ministry representative stated the ministry "kept in mind" that the U.S. and Japan, at their top in Washington recently, mentioned "the protective nature of the U.S.-Japan alliance" and highlighted "peace and stability" in the area.
