Bariatric surgical treatment (BS) is related to cognitive advantages 2 years after surgical treatment, according to a research study released online Feb. 9 in JAMA Network Open
Emma Custers, from Radboud University Medical Center in Nijmegen, Netherlands, and coworkers took a look at the long-lasting associations of weight-loss after BS with cognition and brain structure and perfusion in an accomplice research study including 133 individuals with serious weight problems eligible for Roux-en-Y stomach bypass (aged 35 to 55 years).
