Coldplay catches its 5th No. 1 album on the Billboard 200 chart, and initially in over a years, as Moon Music debuts atop the list (dated Oct. 19). The set launches with 120,000 comparable album systems made, of which 106,000 remain in standard album sales. Both figures represent the most significant week, by systems and album sales, for the group considering that 2015.

In general, Moon Music marks the 10th leading 10-charting effort for the band. The act formerly led the list with Ghost Stories (2014 ), Mylo Xyloto (2011 ), Viva La Vida or Death and All His Friends (2008) and X&Y (2005 ).
The Billboard 200 chart ranks the most popular albums of the week in the U.S. based upon multi-metric intake as determined in comparable album systems, assembled by Luminate. Systems make up album sales, track comparable albums (TEA) and streaming comparable albums (SEA). Each system equates to one album sale, or 10 specific tracks offered from an album, or 3,750 ad-supported or 1,250 paid/subscription on-demand authorities audio and video streams produced by tunes from an album. Of Moon Music‘s first-week systems of 120,000, album sales make up 106,000 (it's the top-selling album of the week at No. 1 on the top Album Sales), SEA systems consist of 13,000 (equating to 16.71 million on-demand main streams of the set's tunes) and TEA systems make up 1,000. The group last amassed a bigger week, in either total systems or album sales, with the launching frame of 2015's A Head Full of Dreamswhich bowed with 210,000 systems, of which 195,000 remained in standard album sales.
