The Philadelphia Eagles provided their 2nd main injury report on Thursday in advance of their Week 18 home video game versus the New York Giants.
The Eagles noted 5 gamers under DID NOT PARTICIPATE: Jalen Hurts, Kenny Pickett, A.J. Brown, DeVonta Smith, and Saquon Barkley.
Injures still hasn’t practiced because suffering a concussion in Week 16. I’ve seen individuals ask if it’s reasonable to be worried about his schedule for the Eagles’ Wild Card video game. I believe it’s still prematurely to state on that front. I’ll be interested to see if Hurts has the ability to be restricted on Friday or if he may go through a pregame exercise on Sunday. If he does neither of those things and he’s likewise not practicing next week, well, yeah, that’s certainly a huge issue.
Pickett is handling his ribs injury. No requirement to play him in a useless video game. Tanner McKee is on track to make his very first NFL start and Ian Book will be his backup.
Brown, Smith, and Barkley are competitors to be non-active on Sunday as they get some rest.
The Eagles noted 14 gamers under LIMITED PARTICIPATION: Zack Baun, Mekhi Becton, Reed Blankenship, Jalen Carter, Landon Dickerson, Cooper DeJean, C.J. Gardner-Johnson, Lane Johnson, Cam Jurgens, Jordan Mailata, Quinyon Mitchell, Darius Slay, Nolan Smith, and Josh Sweat.
Becton, Dickerson, Johnson, Slay, and Sweat were updated from DNP to restricted. All the others were restricted for the 2nd day in a row. The majority of these gamers will dress for Sunday’s video game because there are just 7 non-active areas … however they will not play.
The Eagles noted 4 gamers under FULL PARTICIPATION: Will Shipley, Dallas Goedert, Nakobe Dean, and Bryce Huff.
Shipley was updated from restricted to complete involvement so it looks like he’s on track to play after missing out on Week 17 due to a concussion. Excellent chance for the novice running back to get some prolonged playing time.
The guess here is the Eagles do not trigger Goedert for this weekend’s video game. Still great to see he’s practicing completely and must be all set for the playoffs.
Dean most likely will not play however Huff may see playing time on Sunday.
