The Esports World Cup Foundation (EWCF) revealed today that it is broadening its Club Partner Program, its effort to support the esports club community worldwide. The program is broadening to 40 clubs, up 10 from its previous number, and has a $20 million financial investment to put towards this growth. Interested clubs can look for subscription through January 10, and those accepted will get six-figure financing to grow their company.
Out of the 40 slots, the EWCF prepares to release invites to 8 of the leading clubs from the EWC 2024 Championship ranking while leaving the other 32 slots available to applications (member clubs need to restore subscription each year). This year, it prepares to target essential development markets in China, Southeast Asia, LATAM and MENA. Clubs need to have a performance history of high competitive efficiency in addition to an engaged fanbase on social networks.
Faisal bin Homran, the EWCF’s Chief Product Officer, stated in a declaration, “The EWCF Club Partner Program represents a considerable advance in our continuous objective to promote a growing community for esports Clubs worldwide while opening chances for companies from a few of the world’s fastest-growing esports markets, like China. Through this program, we allow partnered Clubs to bring in fans with interesting material beyond the video games, showcasing the characters and skill of gamers, together with their origin stories, while likewise establishing their Clubs’ brand names as fan-favorite powerhouses in esports home entertainment.”
Steve Arhancet, co-CEO of esports club Team Liquid, stated in a different declaration, “”The inaugural program was an important resource for our club, offering significant assistance that reinforced our decision-making to broaden into brand-new video game titles. It added to among the most effective competitive years in our 24-year history, consisting of a strong second-place surface in the EWC 2024 Club Championship in 24 ′. We’re delighted for the EWCF Club Partner Program in 2025 and the chances it brings while we continue to keep our position as one of the most viewed esports groups worldwide.”
