Twenty firemens reacted to a fire including photovoltaic panels in the Port of Gandia location of Spain and to a surge of an associated containerized battery.
A surge was heard at 6:14 pm on January, and close-by homeowners called the emergency situation services. 5 fire brigades from the Gandia, Oliva, Cullera, and Alzira stations participated in the scene in addition to a sector chief and sergeant and members of the nationwide and regional authorities and health services.
Throughout the firefighting, a 46-year-old firemen was somewhat hurt in the arm and was dealt with by the paramedics who were dispatched to the scene. The firemen was released at the scene.
Poisonous smoke from the batteries showed up for miles and firemens secured a surrounding storage facility including cardboard coils.
The fire was snuffed out by firemens at around 7:30 a.m. on January 5.
The tender for the building of the photovoltaic plant with energy storage impacted, which paired 705 kW of solar capability with a 1 MW battery, was opened in July 2022 and granted in November the very same year.
