Honda Motor Co. is remembering near to 1.7 million lorries due to a production concern that might make it hard to guide the cars and cause crashes.

Honda reported the recall recently to federal government regulators, who released the recall order on Tuesday.

The security recall order from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration stated that the guiding transmission assembly might have been made improperly, possibly triggering “extreme internal friction” that might make the car hard to guide and increase the possibility of a crash.

The cars covered in the recall were from design years 2022 to 2025 and consist of specific Acura Integras, Honda Civics, Honda CR-Vs and Honda HR-Vs.

The NHTSA revealed an examination of the issue back in March after it got 145 problems from Honda Civic chauffeurs that their steering might stick, requiring them to put in additional effort to turn the guiding wheel.

At the time of the initial statement previously this year, the NHTSA stated it had no reports of crashes or injuries from the issue. Tuesday’s order does not point out any mishaps or injuries brought on by the flaw either.

Notice letters are anticipated to sent by mail to the car owners on Nov. 18.

Owners will have the ability to take their cars to dealerships, who will change the worm equipment spring and reapply grease as essential at no charge.

Owners might get in touch with Honda customer care at 1-888-234-2138. The numbers for the recall are SJS, MJU, QJT and VJV.
