We are most likely all guilty of utilizing excessive water. The majority of water waste occurs prior to the valuable resource entering our homes. That is due to the fact that nationwide pipeline networks are filled with leakages– and water deficiency is a growing international issue. Could AI become part of the service?
The UK wastes more than 3 billion litres of completely great quality drinking water every day. Italy and its aging water facilities loses 42% of drinking water annual. Worldwide, day-to-day water loss is approximated to be 45 billion litres.
HULO.ai, a start-up from Leuwarden, the Netherlands, is seeking to minimize water loss by linking wise sensing units with its innovative AI algorithm. Basically, the cloud-based service can optimise sensing unit positioning and identify and localise water leaks within water circulation networks in real-time.
“If a leakage is not being discovered in real-time, it might be there for a long period of time, so you lose a great deal of water. That’s one part,” Robbert Lodewijks, HULO.ai’s co-founder and CEO, informs TNW.
