New York appellate court shot down Trump’s effort to eliminate Judge Arthur Engoron’s gag order

A New York appellate court on Thursday declined previous President Donald Trump’s effort to reverse gag orders in his civil scams case that restricted him from assaulting the primary law clerk of the administering state judge, The Messenger reports. In a four-page judgment, the New York Appellate Division, First Judicial Department specified that “the gravity of possible damage is little, considered that the Gag Order is narrow, restricted to forbiding exclusively declarations relating to the court’s personnel” and kept in mind that Trump’s technique of making the demand “is not the correct automobile” for tough gag and contempt orders.
