Jane Fonda saw Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck's split coming.
The “protective” 86-year-old shared her “issues” about the love in Lopez's “The Greatest Love Story Never Told” documentary in 2022.
Fonda started by clarifying she “actually, truly, truly desire[ed]the revived relationship to “work” and was “invested” in its success.

She kept in mind, “It feels too much like you're attempting to show something rather of simply living it. You understand, every other picture is the 2 of you kissing and the 2 of you hugging.”
Lopez, who co-starred in “Monster-in-Law” with Fonda in 2005, responded, “That's simply us living our life.”
The Grammy candidate, 55, called her pal “extremely protective” and anxious about Lopez “putting [her]self out there to get batter once again.”

Fonda included that she got “genuine terrified” when she saw headings about Affleck, 52, looking “dissatisfied.”
Lopez chuckled this concern off also, joking about how her spouse was the web's “sign of the beleaguered male.”
Fonda consequently took her issues to Lopez's supervisor, Benny Medina– who apparently has “bad blood” with Affleck and “can't stand” him.

At the time, Fonda described the value of keeping love “sacrosanct” rather of “excessively showing off” it to the general public.
The Golden Globe winner wasn't the only one to reveal doubts, with Affleck doing the very same while reviewing his and Lopez's very first engagement from 2002 to 2004.
