Readers react to a post by our interns disagreeing with The Nation‘s recommendation of Kamala Harris for president.
I compose in action to “Kamala Harris Does Not Deserve The Nation‘s Endorsement” [TheNation.com, October 25] by The Nation‘s interns. I am most likely about the exact same age as them, and I passionately disagree. The root of our dispute appears to be this: They see enacting a vacuum, as an expression of their individual principles. It is not.
Somebody will be chosen, and an individual of conscience must select. Either Kamala Harris or Donald Trump will stand listed below the Capitol Dome on January 20. And these folks– progressives(!)– appear to not see the distinction. Or they simply do not care. They pay lip service: “We understand that a 2nd Trump presidency would be a catastrophe, however our company believe that we can not vote our escape of this genocide.” That is successfully assistance for Trump. We believe he would be horrible however aren't happy to vote versus him, they state.
This is the sort of Trump fan that actually drives me up the wazoo. The kind who understands he would be even worse. Worse for ladies, even worse for individuals of color, even worse for LGBTQ individuals, and even worse for protesters. Millions who would be damaged by a Trump administration. Pals and next-door neighbors.
I understand that the interns think that Harris is bad. They are deeply, exceptionally saddened by the war in Gaza. As am I. The least amongst us, living ideal next to you, are relying on you. The females and kids of Gaza require safeguarding. So do the ladies and kids of America.

As a Palestinian American and a Country reader considering that I remained in my 20s, I've never ever been prouder of this publication. The inspiring editorial that it simply released by its interns is the very best I've checked out anywhere on the topic.
It sickens me that my own tax dollars are being invested by Kamala Harris and Joe Biden to bomb infants and murder moms in Palestine. Sponsoring Israeli state horror, genocide, and ethnic cleaning is suitable for a war criminal however not a prospect for the presidency of the United States.
Harris's negligent, persistent, and reckless choice to turn her back on her base and to the countless “Uncommitted” citizens, all of whom might be her advocates, is outrageous and short-sighted. She has actually shown that her ethical and political judgment and her management are all terribly faulty and disgraced herself in the eyes of history.
Harris will have nobody however herself to blame if she loses.
