Matt Brown dismisses concept that Jon Jones’ tradition would be tainted if he does not battle Tom Aspinall

Matt Brown Says Jon Jones’ Legacy Will be Intact, With or Without Tom Aspinall

Throughout an edition of MMAFighting.com’s “The Fighter vs. The Writer,” Matt Brown informed Damon Martin that no matter whether Jon Jones battles Tom Aspinall, his tradition will not be harmed.

“The truth is, it will be forgotten,” Brown stated. “No matter what Tom does. If Jon retires after he beats Stipe, we’re in the age of news is news for a day. Possibly for a day or more, there will be some individuals on Reddit stating Jon was terrified of Tom or whatever.

“By next week or whatever … he’ll still be the best ever. Nobody’s going to resemble, ‘Oh, Jon’s not the best ever due to the fact that he didn’t combat Tom Aspinall.’ I do not believe a bachelor’s going to state that. They’re simply going to talk a bit of ridiculous things for a number of days and it will be entirely forgotten. Much like [Georges St-Pierre]”

Currently, Jones vs. Miocic still does not have a brand-new date. While the report mill declares the battle is being prepared for November, the UFC has yet to validate.
