Thank paradises for Mad Men. I feasted on the dazzling AMC program throughout lockdown, having in some way missed it when it initially aired about a years previously, and without it I most likely would have discovered today’s Strands to be far, far harder. As it was, I kept in mind protagonist Don Draper’s preferred beverage and for that reason the spangram OLDFASHIONED.

Not that I understood the components as such– however I kept in mind enough that discovering the similarity BITTERS, WATER, CHERRY and SUGAR wasn’t a difficult job. It may have lacked WHISKEY, however luckily the style idea of ‘On the rocks’ had actually set me on the course to looking for that, making the entire thing more workable than it would otherwise have actually been.
