From purple flags in Kyrgyzstan to pregnancy outfits in Bangkok to a sit-in in Seoul, demonstrators around the world filled the streets Friday to mark this year's International Women's Day.
Rallies on International Women's Day generally take goal at ladies's problems like pay equality and domestic violence, and this year's model was no exception. In Thailand, protesters required longer maternity leave; in Germany, some required much better working conditions; and in London, demonstrators prompted higher access to education in Taliban-controlled Afghanistan.
And some utilized the rallies to require an instant cease-fire in Gaza, where more than 30,000 Palestinians have actually been eliminated in an Israeli military project reacting to the Hamas-led attacks on Oct. 7, according to the Gaza Health Ministry. Others required the return of the remainder of the Israeli captives abducted that day, a few of whom are females. (A U.N. report launched previously today discovered “affordable premises to think” that captives in captivity in Gaza might be experiencing sexual violence at the hands of their captors.)
