I played a great deal of video games fit around tasks. It's not RPG associated, however among my greatest summertime video game memories is playing Wing Commander 3. That was the very first Wing Commander video game that integrated live-motion video and starred Mark Hamill. The cast was outstanding, the graphics looked fantastic and I was exceptionally hyped to play it. Unfortunatly this was a cutting edge video game in the time before graphics cards and my PC fell listed below all the minimum specifications. I was undaunted; I had to roll the dice and attempt to play the video game. Astonishingly, it ran however not without some considerable compromises. The video game is divided in between area battle and FMV things on the Carrier and whenever I began the video game or switched in between the combat/FMV modes I got load times. The worst load times. Legendary load times. 20-40 minute load times. My memory of the summertime it came out was do the FMV things, swap to area battle and struck that 30 minute load time. Go and vacuum your house. Return, do the ~ 10 minutes of battle, and after that another 30 minute load time to return to the FMV things. Go get the garbage. Rince and repeat. Reflecting it's fantastic that the video game still worked when my hardware was so clearly not up to the job and it's maybe more spectacular that I had the persistence to bear with the load times that resulted.

There was the summertime of 88 when I moved from Hawaii to Virginia Beach, we remained with my Grandparents in New Mexico and ended up taking a journey to Disney Land around my Birthday.
