Strickland beat Allen previously in their UFC periods en path to ultimately winning the middleweight title. He most just recently lost to Dricus du Plessis at UFC 297 after winning the belt over Israel Adesanya.
Curtis' short-notice endeavor followed beating Marc-André Barriault at UFC 297. The win snapped a two-fight skid, consisting of a no-contest versus Nassourdine Imavov at UFC 289.
In spite of losing at UFC Vegas 90, Curtis' middleweight stock stays strong after his efficiency. The veteran won his very first 3 UFC battles before an existing stint of ups and downs inside the Octagon.
Strickland and Curtis will want to return on track in their Octagon returns later on this year. After being up to du Plessis in January, Strickland is competing for another title shot in the congested middleweight title image.
Curtis isn't far behind in the middleweight ladder and stays a harmful out for the majority of leading competitors.
