Shailene Woodley Recalls Losing Her Hearing While Battling Health Issues
Shailene Woodley wishes to be divergent from social standards.
The Huge Little Lies alum got honest about why she does not like the method sex is represented in pornography in the United States, explaining it as “bacon hanging in front of a canine.”
“The manner in which sex exists on the surface area in this nation is so made,” Shailene described throughout a Sept. 24 look on the She MD podcast, “and it’s such an efficiency rather of real intimacy, vulnerability and connection.”
The 3 Women star, who explained herself as a “extremely sexual individual,” argued that many people do not understand they’re taking in the junk food variation of enjoyment. As she put it, “If individuals understood what was possible with sex, they would take a look at pornography and go, ‘Oh god, this resembles unhealthy food.'”
“Pleasure is so essential, and we simply rip each other off of it since I believe we do not always even understand what’s possible,” the 32-year-old continued. “And that’s my huge beef with pornography is I’m like, ‘You’re offering everyone McDonald’s when you might have like, whoa.'”
And Shailene– who divided with NFL star Aaron Rodgers in February 2022, one year after revealing their engagement– felt lucky to come to this conclusion early on through a favorable experience with an ex.

“I was extremely fortunate in my life as a young adult finding myself and my body to have a partner at the time who liked to dance,” she shared. “I constantly call [sex] a dance due to the fact that it’s a dance. We’re exchanging energy. Often the dance is a truly quick tango, and often it’s a truly sluggish groove, in some cases it’s loud and often it’s soft.”
Keeping in mind that she had the ability to “find myself since there was a comfortability together,” Shailene wants she might now pass a few of her understanding to others.
“I want, in a manner, I might do sex ed,” the starlet stated. “Not me personally– however enter into a sex ed curriculum and resemble, ‘How can we repair this? How can we alter this a bit?'”
