The brand-new FX restricted series “Shogun,” based upon James Clavell’s successful book, debuted with its very first 2 episodes in February, however episodes are presenting weekly as critics are calling it among the very best programs of the year.
The 10-episode series, which is embeded in Japan in 1600, stars Hiroyuki Sanada of “Lost” and “John Wick: Chapter 4” as Lord Yoshii Toranaga, whose opponents on the Council of Regents are conspiring versus him; and Cosmo Jarvis as marooned Englishman John Blackthorne, who may show helpful to Toranaga.
