Sonic Team will work to keep its video games on last-gen systems for as long as possible.
That’s according to manufacturer Takashi Iizuka, who stated in an interview with IGN that he desires “as lots of people as possible to play” Sonic video games, despite the fact that later on, advanced systems allow “more recent Sonic video games [to] reveal the speed of Sonic”.

“As a market, we have the high-end makers, high-end consoles,” Iizuka stated.
“Coming out with those consoles, we feel that we can make more recent Sonic video games that can reveal the speed of Sonic and with much better video gaming UI.
“However, we wish to support the lower specification cons[oles] ” he included. “So despite the fact that the PS5 Pro is coming out, or brand-new developments or innovation are coming out, we feel that it is essential to support with the lower specification consoles and let much of the users keep playing Sonic.”
Regardless of that, Iizuka intimated that whilst the recently revealed PS5 Pro is thought about by some gamers to be excessively pricey,”[for] the quality that they are offering, it’s not that pricey … And yeah, it would be truly great for the high-end video game users.”
ICYMI, Sega just recently revealed the Sonic the Hedgehog 3 Movie Pack will be concerning Sonic x Shadow Generations as DLC simply ahead of the movie’s release, starring Keanu Reeves as the voice of Shadow.
The DLC will be motivated by scenes from the Sonic the Hedgehog 3 movie and get here ahead of its release on 12th December.
