Stephen King Calls For Oscars Cancelation Amid Wildfires: “No Glitz With L.A. On Fire”
With more than 100,000 affected by the current Southern California wildfires, numerous are having a hard time to get in the awards season spirit.
After the 97th Academy Awards formerly postponed elections and extended ballot amidst the catastrophe, Stephen King recommended the occasion must be canceled entirely this year.
"Not enacting the Oscars this year. IMHO they ought to cancel them. No glamour with Los Angeles on fire," the author composed on Bluesky.
