Lydia Ko eyes 21st LPGA win; shares Blue Bay LPGA lead with Bailey Tardy, Sarah Schmelzel
Lydia Ko has her sights set on another success.
The 26-year-old New Zealander carded a 6-under 66 Saturday throughout the 3rd round of heaven Bay LPGA in China, racing up the leaderboard to get a share of the lead at 12-under total.
She is connected on top with 2 Americans, Bailey Tardy and Sarah Schmelzel.
"I played truly well on the front 9 once again like I did [on Friday]," Ko stated.
"Not frequently that you're 3-under through 3 2 days directly. To be able to make an excellent pitch, chip-in eagle on 3 was certainly an excellent momentum booster."
Ko left to a roaring start, keeping that momentum throughout the front 9.
In addition to her birdie at 2 and eagle at the 3rd, Ko birdied the 6th and the 8th to go out with a 5-under 31.
