China Starts Construction of a 10 MWe Thorium Molten Salt Reactor This Year
China's laid out a buildout of nuclear power in the 14th Five-Year Plan (2021-- 2025), launched in March 2021. China prepares 150 brand-new atomic power plants over the taking place 15 years to reach a production objective of 200 GW of atomic energy by 2035. Experts approximated that including an extra 147 GW (to the 53 GW of atomic energy China produced at the time) would require a financial investment of $370 billion to $440 billion over that 15-year timeframe.
