Marquez states Portugal MotoGP practice crash to “impulse”
The Gresini rider ended Friday's performing at the Algarve International Circuit securely through to Q2 on Saturday after completing 3rd in 2nd practice.
Marquez did register his very first race weekend crash on the Ducati when he moved off his GP23 Ducati at Turn 5 while pressing on his last time attack lap.
Marquez states a "little modification" to the bike offered him more self-confidence to press, however when he lost control of the Ducati under braking his "impulse" for riding the Honda took control of and resulted in his crash.
"We did a little modification on the bike, it provided me more self-confidence," Marquez stated. "If you have more self-confidence, you have the ability to press more and action by action we require to enter that method.
