The NESC Mechanical Systems TDT offers broad assistance throughout NASA's objective directorates. We are a varied group representing a range of sub-disciplines consisting of bearings, equipments, metrology, lubrication and tribology, system style, analysis and screening, securing systems, valve engineering, actuator engineering, pyrotechnics, mechatronics, and motor controls. In addition to supplying technical assistance, theTDT owns and preserves NASA-STD-5017, "Design and Development Requirements for Space Mechanisms."
