Self-monitoring enhances exercise of care-needing senior: Study
Kobe University health researchers Izawa Kazuhiro, Kitamura Masahiro and their group revealed that self-monitoring is an efficient ways to promote the exercise in senior individuals in requirement of long-lasting care assistance. They asked individuals to set objectives for increasing actions along with light exercise and reducing time invested sitting, and to daily monitor their development with an accelerometer and by tape-recording it on a calendar.
